Daniel K. Jackson assists the firm in handling patent disputes from trial preparation to appeals before the Federal Circuit and proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. He plays an integral role in supporting litigation teams in federal court trials and is deeply familiar with the full scope of litigation processes. His experience includes managing large volumes of discovery, with extensive work in eDiscovery platforms such as DISCO and Relativity. Whether coordinating discovery, managing case files, or preparing materials for trial and appeal, Daniel is relied upon to bring clarity and structure to demanding matters.

Colleagues and clients describe Daniel as dependable, approachable, and highly effective under pressure. He builds strong working relationships, communicates clearly across diverse teams, and ensures complex projects stay on track.

Prior to joining Skiermont Derby LLP, Daniel worked extensively with case teams on complex commercial and business litigation in both state and federal courts, with emphasis on license agreements, telecommunications, real estate, and oil and gas matters. This diverse background, combined with his academic training, enhances his ability to analyze complex issues and contribute thoughtful perspective to the cases he supports.

Daniel earned an M.A. in Political Science from Texas State University, where his studies focused on early modern political theory, state and local politics, and social contract theory. He also holds a B.A. in Political Science from Prairie View A&M University.
