
Tara M. Williams
Senior Counsel
Tara M. Williams focuses her practice on patent litigation. She has litigated patent, trademark and trade secret disputes in federal and state courts throughout the United States, including Section 337 investigations before the International Trade Commission. Tara has represented clients across a broad range of technological areas and industries, including technologies related to medical devices, semiconductors and electronics, wireless communications, the automotive industry, business method patents, wireless data transmission, oil field related equipment and processes, chemical processes and manufacturing, ophthalmologic devices and procedures, and consumer electronics and appliances. Tara is also a registered patent attorney with experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the electrical and mechanical arts. In 2014 she was listed as Texas Super Lawyers, “Rising Star.”
Prior to joining Skiermont Derby LLP, Tara was of counsel with Greenberg Traurig, LLP in Houston, TX. And before entering the legal profession, Tara was a senior instrument and electrical engineer with Celanese Chemical Corporation, wherein her responsibilities included specification, installation and troubleshooting of instrumentation, electrical equipment, and safety and process control systems.
